WORKING TOGETHER TO END HUNGER
Look around you. There’s a good chance someone you see each day is hungry. In Tampa Bay, more than 700,000 people are food insecure, meaning they lack consistent and easy access to safe, nutritionally adequate food. And the problem isn’t limited only to the homeless. Many who struggle to find adequate food are working adults, children and the elderly.
For over 23 years, Extraordinary Life Church has been part of Feeding America’s network of domestic hunger-relief organizations. Together with individuals, charities, businesses and government we can end hunger in our country.
FOOD TODAY. FOOD SECURITY TOMORROW.
In a country that wastes billions of pounds of food each year, it’s almost shocking that anyone in America goes hungry. Yet every day, there are millions of children and adults who do not get the meals they need to thrive. We work to get nourishing food – from farmers, manufacturers, and retailers – to people in need. At the same time, we also seek to help the people we serve build a path to a brighter, food-secure future.
ADVOCATE TO END HUNGER
Together, we can end hunger, but it’s going to require an active partnership between individuals like you, charity, the private sector and the government. That’s why Extraordinary Life Church advocates for policies that will ensure aid to hungry families.
Another great place to start is right at home. Learn how you can teach your children about hunger and different ways you can fight hunger as a family.
